We also receive students from other pharmaceutical training institutions for pharmacy practice attachments to our laboratories .These are students from Catholic University of Health and Allied sciences(CUHAS Bugando), The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) St.Johns University of Tanzania (SJUT) Kampala International University (KIU) Paradigms College of Health Sciences (PCHS) and MGAO Iringa
The industrial pharmacy practical training placement for students from UNZA and WITS took place from 4 th to 15 th September 2023 under the mentorship and supervision of SLF/KSP tutors utilizing existing laboratory facilities of Industrial Pharmacy teaching Unit (IPTU) and Quality Control Laboratory(QC).
The training was delivered for period of ten (10) working days (excluding weekends) with morning and afternoon sessions mainly in form of hands-on training(i.e practical’s) tied with two-way interactions, group presentations and discussions ,demonstrations ,and operations.
This practical training involved a total of 18 students accompanied with 2 supervisors -one from each university.
Daily monitoring and accomplished activity/task of respective day were through attendance list where every student had to sign after completion of the respective practical
Students were grouped into three groups, each of six students and two supervisors from each University joined two groups for practical trainings that were conducted according to program/timetable in the following manner
